Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

This entry is 'Late to the Party'

This photo should have been up a week ago- I've had it that long.
This lovely bunch of cookies were made by a dear friend of mine from Pennsylvania.  She sent me a photo of different cookies she'd made one day and asked what  I thought. What I thought was "I must have some of those!"  I immediately ordered some. They are so pretty and they taste great. The 32 is for my 32nd wedding anniversary last month.
My friend J is planning an Etsy store and all of you can have these wonderful cookies too! She has many other designs as well. When she goes live, I will pass it along to you.
Have a sweet creative day!

Embellishment Class Sample Cards

Had a lot of fun with a few terrific paper art friends making embellishments for our cards, scrapbook pages or any projects that need a little creative 'something'.

If you feel inspired by anything you see here-yay!

An idea to share

This little book is a green and very inexpensive project. The best part is that it serves a great purpose too. The next photo will show it's use.......
It holds my Nestibilities!
Each 'page' is a sheet of magnet bought at the Dollar Store- 2 pages from each magnet sheet. The cover is from the cardboard box some Christmas crackers came in- that's the green (recycle) part. I used my labelmaker to put the name of each nestibilities set on the back of the page. I made a second book for a dear friend and bought the magnet sheet from our local sign store Signs Ink.
The magnet was cut using my Big Shot and the scallop square die. The holes were punched with my crop-a-dile and binder rings keep the whole thing together. They also allow me to add pages. For fun, I added a few bits of broken jewellery to the rings.
I love projects that recycle, use what I have on hand and are useful. Don't you?

Don't forget to leave me a comment so you'll be sure
to be entered for the draw on Saturday.

From Paradise to Paradise and Back Again

See this beach? We spent two wonderful weeks on this beach.
Everything was perfect!
We came home to more of the same - today is absolutely perfect.
Loved the vacation, but love being home too.
Time to get down to some art- not sure what kind, just ART!
Enjoy this beautiful day.

Sand Art anyone?

We walked into Akumal around 5pm yesterday, to pick up our laundry. Along the way, we discovered the kids (and not a few parents) had created some sand art for everyone's viewing pleasure.
I thought you might enjoy a look at a turtle guarding his castle.
There have been some amazing creations on the beach but I haven't always had my camera. Silly me!

Some DIFFERENT paper art for you

Here's a look at what our toilet paper looks like every day after the maid has finished with our room. The spare roll and kleenex get the same treatment.
I couldn't resist sharing this little bit of paper art with you. Are you smiling? Hope so.
