Welcome!

This is my place to share my creative bits and pieces. My art has no rules, no limits and absolutely no order. My projects change with my moods but for the last few years, my main focus has been paper art. Cards, collage, mixed media and as many techniques as I can get to. My inspiration comes from everywhere.

I hope you enjoy your visit.

Plain Pretty

This card went together very quickly and would be a 'pretty' card The Vintage Vogue stamp set from Stampin' Up! could be one of my favourites, especially for feminine cards.

Emerging

This is one of my recent collages called "Emerging". There are many, many, many layers of paper, paint and gel medium. Layering, sanding, painting, scraping away- again and again until the colour, shape and depth I'm looking for, emerges.
I love this type of collage as it can take weeks to complete, but is done in 20 minute bursts. That 20 minutes fully engages me. It also fulfills my need to "just try this and see what happens!" Utter failures are simply scraped or sanded away.
Okay, time to start working on another........

Stripped and Striped Cards

You don't need to make many cards or scrapbook pages before you find yourself with a lot of scraps of paper. One way to use them up is trimming them into strips, then adding strips and stripes to your cards! These four cards show just a few of the ways to do it.

Iris Fold without the fold...

When is an iris fold not a fold? When it's a strip of course! Looking for a use for scrap strips- here's one. Just lay the strips down as you would if they were folded. Easy peasy!
Other scraps look great as matching circles. Fairly quick- lots of fun.

Upcoming Class

Here's a look at the samples for the "Make Your Own Embellishments" Class I'm planning for late February. We'll use paper, ribbon, punches- the usual paper art things, as well as packaging materials. Yes, we'll be recycling that cardboard box and the plastic cases that are so hard to open. I love recycled art!

"Old" Stuff

While browsing my picture files earlier, I came across some art done years ago. For a short while, I was totally into painting on rocks.
I painted lots with flowers too but have no photos of them.
